...WITH BEST WELDING RESULTS

IMPROVING QUALITY AND PRODUCTIVITY

The welding process and welding work have a significant influence on the effectiveness of your production. Any improvement in quality and productivity has a positive effect on overall production costs. With our gas mixtures you create the optimum conditions for this:

Ferroline - for mild and low-alloy steels
Inoxline - for high-alloy steels and Ni-based alloys
Aluline - for aluminum and non-ferrous metals

Ferroline, Inoxline and Aluline - Shielding Gas Mixtures for Arc Welding

Ferroline, Inoxline and Aluline - Shielding Gas Mixtures for Arc Welding

The lowest moisture level in the shielding gas, less welding fumes for greater workplace safety, lower production costs, first-class service...

IN LINE … with the lowest moisture level in the shielding gas

Despite high gas purity, moisture can occur, mainly through the gas hoses. This results in pores or hydrogen cracks. When purchasing accessories, make sure they are of certified quality!

IN LINE … WITH CERTIFIED WELDING PROCESSES

The shielding gas group (ISO 14175) is also specified in the certification for a welding process. For this reason, the existing certification must be checked if the shielding gas is changed.
Our shielding gases and gas mixtures consistently comply with ISO 14175, which is required for the issue of a welding process certification.

IN LINE … WITH LESS WELDING FUMES FOR GREATER WORKPLACE SAFETY

In 2018, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) reassessed the risk of lung cancer due to welding fumes and established a correlation.
With our Ferroline shielding gases, you can reduce harmful welding fumes directly "at source".

IN LINE … WITH LOWER PRODUCTION COSTS

Do you want to achieve potential savings in your production processes? Reduce costs without compromising on quality? We would be happy to carry out a detailed profitability analysis, including a performance comparison. Because shielding gases enable cost savings without compromising on quality.

IN LINE … WITH FIRST-CLASS SERVICE

Whether it's expert advice at your site, technical training to bring your team up to speed, profitability analyses for faster and more efficient production or "digital shielding gas recommendations" using our "Gas Scout" tool - Messer supports your business success in many ways.

FERROLINE - SHIELDING GASES FOR MAG WELDING MILD STEELS

In addition to the shielding gas ISO 14175 - M21-ArC-18, Messer brand name Ferroline C18, we offer you three new Ferroline mixtures:

Nested Applications

Ferroline CX

Ferroline C12 X2
(ISO 14175 M24 ArCO 12/2)

Ferroline C6 X1
(ISO 14175 M24 ArCO 6/1)

Ferroline C15.1
(ISO 14175 M21 ArC 15,1)

MEASURABLE BENEFITS IN DIRECT COMPARISON WITH FERROLINE C18

MEASURABLE BENEFITS IN COMPARISON WITH FERROLINE C18

  • up to 20% faster welding
  • up to 90% less rework (higher weld quality/less slag on seams)
  • significantly lower manufacturing costs

INOXLINE - SHIELDING GASES FOR ARC WELDING OF HIGH-ALLOY STEELS

For MAG welding of high-alloy steels, the shielding gas ISO 14175 - M12-ArC-2.5, Messer brand name Inoxline C2, is used. As with unalloyed steels, Messer also offers interesting mixture alternatives mixture alternatives, which are characterized by a low addition of hydrogen and are therefore suitable for austenitic, high-alloy steels:

Nested Applications

Inoxline XX

Inoxline C3 H1
(ISO 14175 - M11 ArCH 3/1):
especially for MAG welding

Inoxline He3 H1
(ISO 14175 - R1 ArHeH 3/1,5):
especially for TIG welding

MEASURABLE BENEFITS INOXLINE

MEASURABLE BENEFITS IN DIRECT COMPARISON TO INOXLINE C2 (FOR MAG) AND WELDING ARGON (FOR TIG)

  • up to 30% faster welding
  • up to 50% less rework (less heat tints)
  • less distortion
  • significantly reduction in production costs

ALULINE - SHIELDING GASES FOR TIG AND MIG WELDING OF ALUMINUM AND ITS ALLOYS

The most commonly used shielding gas here is welding argon 4.6 (ISO 14175 - I1-Ar) with a standardized, maximum permissible impurity level of 40 ppm. Messer has developed Aluline mixtures as an advantageous alternative to welding argon:

Nested Applications

Aluline XX

Aluline He15
(ISO 14175 - I3-ArHe-15)

Aluline 4.8
(ISO 14175 - I1-Ar)

MEASURABLE BENEFITS ALULINE

MESURABLE BENEFITS IN DIRECT COMPARISON TO THE STANDARD WELDING ARGON (ISO 14175 - I1-Ar)

  • up to 30%faster welding
  • reduced component distortion
  • higher penetration
  • fewer pores
  • larger cleaning zone
  • lower manufacturing costs
